DIY Project: Free Table Number Printables

Whew! few more days and we would be saying Adios to 2013 and Ola to 2014, it also means that were on our 6th month mark before our sakal day. Now am left with the small details which includes my wedding gown hahahahhah.

Anyways, I stumbled upon this website The Time Warp Wife which by the way has very inspiring articles about marriage (I would share more about it in another post). She also has this section about positive marriage qoutes. I was reading through it and it gave me an idea, instead of a typical table number why not put a nice quote that me and jowaness could relate to.

Since the year is ending, I am giving you these Table 1 - 20 chalkboard table number printables. I was able to create 5 styles, pick and choose.  Just click on the image to download. Enjoy!

These are 5 X 7 size, you could choose to print it at home or in your trusty photo printer shop put insert it in a photo frame and there you go.

If you do decide to use it, hope you could send me a photo :-)

Well, if you want all if those pretty Table Numbers you could get it HERE.

Opps!!! Happy New Year peeps!!!

DIY Project: Free Missalette Cover

This is so typical of me, thinking that since am on a school holiday I would be able to update my blog entries regularly :-) well I just proved myself wrong and got a new nick name from Mr Carbon... Bumbelina!!!

Well, I was not bumming the whole time hahahhaha I was able to finalized our invitations for our overseas guests, sent our Save The Dates and as the tittle of this entry states :-) I was also able to finalized our Missalettes and our Missaletter cover and am to excited

So what was so exciting about this? Firstly it was an emotional ride as always when I was editing the Missalette that Our Lady of Mt. Carmel writing our names and reading it made me nervous hahahah plus! a mega emotional me was when I was writing the "In Memory" part haiz!!!!
Well, this also has a comedic part. I asked the "one who can't be named" to check our Missalette not being a Catholic she was asking me a lot of questions and reacting to almost every part of the ceremony. But I do have to thank her for she did an awesome job checking the punctuation and spaces :-)

If you're looking for prayers for our Filipino Customs this site is a big help.

And another part that I loved was that I accidentally learned how to use Adobe!!! hahahahah and I tell you its awesome fun. I was able to make not 1 but 5 Missalette Covers and am sharing it to you guys!!!

The covers are in PDF and PNG file and I also included our Missalette which you could all download HERE .

I know the designs are simple but these is my first time using Adobe.. to keep in touch more FREEBIES!!! to come soon :-)

Any suggestions of what you want?

Wedding Planning Adventure: Cheesecake Infinity Dresses

Yup you read it right, am a Cheesecake lady :-) I posted sometime ago about my search on my entourage dresses here. Well, it's been months when I have met with Ms Agatha during my visit in Manila last June, I already have 2 dresses from her before our meeting that is why I was so excited for our meeting.

A burgundy dress that I wore in June for my friends wedding in Singapore. This is my entourage dress, of course I have to order for myself first hahahahahah.

A twofer dress that I love so much makes me feel like am Betty Boop :-) I wore this during our Teacher's Day dinner last September.

And since I loved my 2 dresses, during our meeting she informed me that she has an on hand stock of this midnight blue long dress in my size, of course this is a no brainer purchase for me hahahahah I bought it and planning to use it as my prep dress during our "sakal" day.

Ms. Agatha is super friendly we meet her at Greenbelt and wow she came prepared she had her sample swatches and there are so many pretty colors to choose from, I could just imagine any bride who doesn't have any idea on her color motif would be overwhelmed with choices ( well I was set on the color burgundy ) but don't worry Ms. Agatha would assist you to make the right choice, I was torn on using different shades of red, but after talking to her I decided to stay with my original choice Burgundy. She is not pushy, she is just hmmm? like a good friend who would listen, give an advice and let you decide afterwards.

Here are some samples of her entourage dresses, pictures are from Cheesecake Facebook page

Don't you just love the colors and how many ways your ladies could wear it on your day.
They would have a synthesized look for they are wearing one color and yet you could let their individual personalities out since they would choose how they could wear it :-).
The cut is flattering for any body shape so it means your ladies would be oozing with confidence, happy and beautiful on your big day.
Plus!!! they could use it for another occasion in another way and have a totally new dress, such a perfect gift for your ladies.

My ladies were excited when I've shown them pictures of the dresses, although some are worried that they wont be able to manage to do it, I just re-assured them that I would give their dresses months in advance and I would include a how-to CD and booklet, so now I just need to get their measurements which is another story hahahahha.

I just can't wait to order my entourage dresses from Cheesecake.. hmmm? maybe I should again get something for myself... our pre-nup is on March?? What should I get? infinity jumpsuit? infinity top? another infinity dress? what color?

Now I am excited!!!

Wedding Planning Adventure: How to find your ring size the easy peasy way!

Well I admit am such a shy person, hahahah I know for some this would come as a surprise but really scouts honor am your typical shy girl.
So when I gave Jowaness an assignment to find a wedding ring supplier he asked me this question..
"What's your ring size?" in which I replied "Errrr! I don't know." hahahahhah he then explained to me that the jewelers in Manila would require this information in order for them to quote a price.

He then suggested that I go to any jewelry shop here in Singapore and asked if they could help me find my ring size, I was shocked!! I said NO!! hahahahah ok ok people in Singapore are generally nice and helpful but just the thought of me asking. I just have to find a way.

And Bouyah!! Google came to the rescue

There are tons of online stores that could help you find your ring size all you need is a printer :-)
The following are may favorites.
Aside from offering affordable rings, you could download their printing ring size finder. They have three methods which are String, Paper and Surprise. How could you go wrong.

Download the file here
You have to print out the page on a A4 paper and place one of your rings against the circle. When the circle and the internal diameter match, you have found your correct ring size. They also have a conversion chart.
Download the file here
This is a Manila based jeweler, I was quite impressed that offer this service online. Just like Blue Steel they have three ways wherein you could find your ring size.
Download the file here

Well you're the eco type of person? Don't fret there are ways you could find your ring size without printing.
The interface is easy and fun to use but if you don't want to accidentally to scratch your lappy screen then better have this one a pass.

Last but not the least, do it manually

(from Wiki How)
What you need:

A string or strip of paper

See, it wasn't that hard right? Oh, do measure 2-3 times just to ensure that you have the right size.

Wedding Planning Adventure: 100 Questions To Ask Before You Say, “I Do”

I have not said this enough, planning a wedding is not an easy task and no one would be prepared for it, at least that's how I started this journey.

I stumbled upon this article at early this year when I was doing some research about our Church requirements Pre-Cana Seminar and our Canonical Interview.

Found it interesting and decided to ask the questions to Jowaness during my trip to manila last June.

We sat down and started to answer the questions, well for most of the questions we had discussed it at a certain point in our 16 year stint as jowaness.

But it was just refreshing to sit down and answer the questions, dont worry the questions are not threatening but it would just assure you that, you do know what you're getting into and that you know who you are marrying. We did not quarrel about our differences but we compromised :-) see we are in a good start.

I know 100 questions are overwhelming, you could do it over coffee, sipping wine, or maybe while watching TV (which we did)

So just give it a shot. Be open and honest. You never know what can happen.

If we eliminated physical attraction from our relationship, what would be left?
What is the best way for me to show that I love you?

Hmm? this gave me an idea, maybe on our yearly anniversary we would re-visit these questions.. I can't wait :-)

Happy Tummy: Dan Ryan's Chigago Grill

It was those rare Saturdays that Kuya Pau has to work, initially I was just planning to have our lunch at our ever reliable hawker centre, but being the coach potato that I am while waiting for Kuya Pau I decided to watch Master Chef and just like that my craving for something sweet hit me. I did try to get rid of this craving and posted it here and failed.

Kuya Paulo arrived and I was able to convince him to go to Dan Ryans Chicago Grill, one of our go to places when we need real American food, told Kuya Pau that Dan Ryans has not disappointed the carnivore in us so maybe it wont disappoint my sweet tooth too :-)

So together with Kuya Pau and our trusty eating companion Mr Yerzy Carbon we headed out to Dan Ryans.

Dan Ryans is located at Tanglin Road, the nearest MRT station is Orchard which you have two options take a bus and alight in Tanglin Mall or walk, we decided to take the bus :-).

Their brunch menu is quite extensive, but I am here with a mission, to finally have this craving put into a stop hahahahhaha

To start as off we ordered

The chips were crunchy, it had enough toppings of salsa, guacamole and cheese that even the last chip would have its own share of topping.

Buffalo Chicken Wings
What could I say, the wings are great, seasoned well and their blue cheese... I could dip anything and it would still taste good.
New England Clam Chowder
Their Clam Chowder is one of the best, its has the clam flavor and creamy, you dont even need to put salt or pepper.

Yes, we are famished for we hadnt had our breakfast and its 2:30 pm, you would not want to see the Galang Siblings hungry but I was proved wrong I would not like to see Mr Carbon hungry for he is one grouchy guy hahahahah

While waiting, they would serve you this basket of freshly hot bread. It smelled delish and tasted even better. I made a mistake and took a photo just when Mr Carbon is about to take one, and he told me that he would show me a video that pertains to me. ( Video would be posted at the end )

And for our mains:

Kuya Pau
U.S.Rib Eye Steak
Kuya Pau is a proud carnivore, he loved the way the steak is seasoned and cooked the way he likes it Medium Rare, sadly to say some restaurant would not be able to do it.
The meat in tender that it melts in your mouth.

 Mr Yerzy Carbon
Baby Back Ribs
Again, the Ribs did not disappoint Mr Carbon the meat is tender the sides that came with it was seasoned Ohhh!! don't forget the gravy for the mashed potato its uber delish that you have to stop your self in getting a straw and sip the gravy :-)

Blueberry Pancakes
This was it!! the reason why I drag them out, the pancakes!! It was three hot big pancakes, the butter on top was almost melting sipping into the pancakes and the maple syrup was to die for, it complimented the fluffy pancakes with tons of blueberry. Sweet but not empowering. The comfort food that I was craving for.  After each bite I would just give out a sigh...

Ok I know that in my previous post I would be rating each food individually but then not being biased this would not apply to our visit in Dan Ryans.

We loved the food from start to finish, it's everything that we wanted and Kuya Pau is giving it a thumbs up!!!

Our Tummy Verdict:

We are stuffed as in really stuffed that we did not have any desserts :-(. So we decided to walk to Orchard MRT Station to help us digest our food.

We looked and feel like Polar Bears stuffed and getting ready to hibernate, but it was totally worth it.

Dan Ryan's Chicago grill again made the 1 hour travel worth it.
